Fundació Joan Miró

I didn’t share you all of my adventures while I was staying in Barcelona for only 72 hrs. Next to partying at Sónar festival and visiting the city’s finest places, I’ve also discovered this new place which is the Fundació Joan Miró museum. As I told you before I’ve been to Barcelona for many times, so when we go back it’s always a challenge to check up on new area’s. However, my boy and I just love exploring local art activities, and so it happened we ended up at the Joan Miró exposition. Joan Miró (1893-1983) was a true explorer as well, as he mastered many different techniques, including painting, sculpture, litographs, tapestries and ceramics, but he’s best known for his work as a (surrealist) painter. The artist and his (famous) artistic friends decided that Barcelona needed a space to display Miró’s work and, at the artist’s insistence, to showcase work by contemporary artists.
