How to style your jeans | three ways

Yep, that’s me. Wearing jeans. Three times! Somehow I almost never wear denim as I prefer wide, comfy and oversized trousers. But for once I decided to make some exceptions because every girl needs a pair of good jeans, right? I’m always struggling to find the perfect fit because I have legs for days. I know this is something people might get jaleous off, but believe me, it’s not always fun. Wether the denim is too short, or I can swim in it with the upper part being too loose for me. So yes, finding that perfect pair isn’t that easy for me. So when FIVEUNITS – a Danish jeans brand from Copenhagen – approached me for a fun collab, I serously had my doubts. Not because of the brand, but considering the denim drama I just described. Eventually I was convinced to give it a try, and guess what. I’m really glad I did! Why? The jeans I picked don’t only fit my personal style, but also my tall tall legs. After this huge …

Swedish melancholy

Normally I’m not a fan of those rainy days, but I really start to like them lately… When I see the dark clouds coming in, I’ve noticed my heart makes a little jump. And that’s probably because it’s a reason for me to pull out this pink raincoat by the Swedish Stutterheim. Known by their beautiful handmade raincoats, which are always a timeless and simple reflection. Even though they aim for functional rainwear, they always make it a lust for the eye as well. I paired this Mosebacke model with a simple grey culotte and soft sweater with the same pastel tones. A simple but outstanding Spring look for the unexpected Dutch weather. So hey. Let’s embrace the rain ;) Wearing | Stutterheim Mosebacke raincoat | H&M Studio sweater | Monki culottes | The Boyscouts necklace | &Other Stories earrings |

Urban Aesthetics with ONU

I would like to introduce you to ONU. They create everyday pieces combined with performance elements. A perfect blend as I love to wear sportive basics, especially when it carries functional features as well. When I saw their second collection – designed by Christina Liao – their breathable raincoat immediately caught my eye. From the outside the coat looks like a normal raincoat with minimal aesthetics. But when you take a closer look you will notice the coat features multiple design secrets towards motion and durability. The hidden seams enable movement, there’s a quick magnetic closure and a waist drawcord for a sleeker look. The outer shell is breathable and made waterproof to keep you protected. Perfect to face unexpected weather, something you def need in my country during this season. For this look I’ve tried to style the technical raincoat in a playful vibe. Surrounded by modern architecture, I choose an outfit that totally blends in with the urban environment. Oversized cuts, loose trousers, multiple layers and a slight touch of femininity to it …

Native Youth x Un-Cluttered x Bien Philty

Last Summer my boyfriend (Jordi aka Bien Philty) and I were asked to create a series for Native Youth’s Spring/Summer ’17 collection. We decided to link up with each other and created this special editorial with us in the lead. Shot last Summer already, but finally able to share the whole thing with you after a few teasers on my Instagram. So weird but cool at the same time to see us starring in an editorial together. We did everything by ourselves: from styling to finding the perfect location, the photography (hello self-timer experiment) and the editing part. Inspired by the graphic lines of the architecture, we tried to blend in the clothing with the environment. We had so much fun while doing this, and we’re really happy with the results! Check out the images below and read more about this collab including a quick interview here and here. Enjoy! Puffer coats & pink walls

Lately I’ve been living in my puffer coat. It’s not only super warm but also looks cozy AF. Some people will never understand this style and throw questions at me like: ‘why are you wearing your bed cover’, or ‘jacket where are you taking the girl?’. Something with Dutch people and fasjun. But seriously, it’s a lifesaver during wintertime. I paired it up with an adidas performance track pants and my New Balance runners. This must be the most comfortable outfit ever if you ask me :) Wearing | H&M puffer coat | adidas performance track pants | New Balance 990 GL3 sneakers | Susan Bijl Nylon bag |

Cozy feet

Although I’m posing with bare arms, it was cold as f*** while taking these pictures. Luckily these PUMA Suede’s kept me warm, especially my feet. The Germans keep serving one heat after another, and know how to survive the winter season in style. Give me stacked soles, cozy uppers, gold accents and I’m a happy person :))) You can easily wear this pair with your fave track pants, a fancy dress or, like I did, distressed denims to play with the soft/raw contrasts. If its getting too cold just go for some cozy socks and you’re ready to take-over. Overlays

Fall has arrived (duh), and I’m already struggling to beat the cold. And it’s not even winter yet… Could I just bring my pyjama’s and blanket with me all the time, oh well. Maybe I will. Sometime. *disappears under my blanket again* Okay, back to reality. I’ve tried to work with layers (what else is new, right? haha), but more visible than ever! The layers now create a whole new shape and silhouette. Paired with my new track pants found on the men’s department (seriously girls, how can you skip that part), I feel super cozy cozy. Perfect outfit to run between all of my daily activities, while keeping warm at the same time. I think I kinda start to like this cold weather… Wearing | Mango coat | Monki striped shirt | H&M shirt | H&M men’s trackpants | Urban Outfitters cap | &Other Stories earrings | adidas Originals Superstar sneakers |

Adjust + Adapt

Adjust and adapt, exactly what comes to mind after traveling through Bali last month. I will share more about this amazing trip later – with a travel guide included :) – but first I have to adjust & adapt to the normal life again (read: no more mind-blowing sunsets, 24/7 tasty foods and no more refreshing swimming sessions in the sea / pool haha). Time to take of my backpack and go for a simple on-the-run model, which is this cute Swivel pouch from London based Alfie Douglas. Perfect for an office/meeting/event kinda day as the bag adapts to your needs. You can convert the leather straps to a shoulder/crossbody look or you can wear the pouch around the waist as a bumbag/fannypack. Big enough for your most important necessities and small enough to blend in with your look and run away with it. And last but not least, if you look very closely you will notice my initials as a monogram in the corner of the bag. Personal touches are the best
