72 hrs in Barcelona

Yes I totally agree, 72 hrs in Barcelona is way too short. But I promise you, my boy and I enjoyed every single second of it, to the fullest. I already told you in my previous post I was heading to Sónar festival, and what a cool festival it is! Divided into two area’s, one for the day programme and the other for the night gigs, it was one of the biggest party venues I’ve ever been to. A short recap will be up on THRLD soon, but if you followed me on Snapchat (‘chloealyshea’) you already got a taste of what it was like. A$AP Rocky was definitely one of the highlights, but I also regret missing BADBADNOTGOOD (they cancelled their whole European tour) FKA Twigs and Flying Lotus as we had to catch our flight in the middle of the night. A good excuse to come back again right? In our free time we went to Raval and El Born, our favorite area’s of Barcelona, to visit some small shops and sneakerstores (and …

Expanding the white collection: Nike Air Presto

Yes, I did it again. Bought some new white sneakers, just when I decided to not buy any white kicks again for at least a few months. I failed. When I visited 24 Kilates in Barcelona last week, these Presto’s were just staring at me, almost screaming ‘Chloë please buy meee’, and I just couldn’t resist. One pair left, they had to be mine. And so the white sneaker story continues… The Nike Air Presto is a special one, as it is created as a kind of T-shirt for the foot, with a special xxxs-xxxl sizing structure, like Nike describes it. An elastic upper ensures a comfortable fit, like it’s almost hugging your foot. The minimalistic, clean and innovative design makes it a collectors item for a white addict like me. Get a closer look below and expect some outfit shots real soon!

Shadows and lines

A few weeks ago I shared you my #CozyTop5 sneakers for Team Cozy, which was a real honor to do. As we wrapped up, I thought it was about time to share you the full outfit shots as well. I loved playing with the shadows and lines of the Liège-Guillemins station and used this as perfect environments for my looks, and I think my boyfriend did a pretty good job on this. (yes, he takes all of my pictures!) Enjoy this lovely shoot down below, and for more information about the sneakers I’m wearing, you can read more overhere. What I actually would wear from London Collections: Men SS16

London Collections: Men has just finished and like always, it went way too fast. Somehow I find menswear shows much more interesting, as it is surprising from beginning to end. The designers aren’t afraid to use influences from womenswear as well, taking men’s fashion to a whole different level. I even saw men wearing bikini-tops around their neck, so no boundaries in this one. When I was scrolling through all the shows, I was surprised of how many looks appeared I would actually wear. Just imagine a female body in the garments, and I honestly think we ladies could pull it off, maybe even better than the guys… Take a trip to LC:M SS16 with me, and let me know your thoughts on this! E. Tautz I can’t, this pink jacket is just perfect in every way. Casely Hayford From head to toe, I would wear every single piece. Christopher Shannon Layer game on point. Agi & Sam I would wear their whole SS16 range, but extra points for these white culottes. Need it. Now. …

Light packing for Barcelona

Just a few more days left, and I’ll be reunited with my beautiful Barcelona, basically my second hometown. Since I’ve visited this city in 2007 for the first time, I had this instant connection with the Spanish culture and art, lovely people, the food, shops and, ofcourse, the beach and palmtrees. I’ve always been a citytrip person, but it’s even better to dive into the sea after a rewarding shopping spree. Barcelona combines the best of these two worlds, resulting in annually visits since. What makes my next trip even more exciting, is that THRLD (my online magazine) is invited to cover one of the most anticipated festivals Barcelona hosts every year: Sónar festival. I can’t wait to be part of it, as it is my first time ever partying at a festival somewhere other than my own country, whoohoo #goals. And ofcourse a killer line-up to look forward to: A$AP Rocky, Hudson Mohawke, Jamie xx, BADBADNOTGOOD, Flying Lotus, FKA Twigs and many more. One question left: what do I bring with me? Packing for …

My 5 favorite pairs of sneakers for Team Cozy

It’s time to get cozy with me, as I recently was part of The Cozy Community by submitting my 5 favorite pairs of sneakers for Team Cozy. This Instagram driven platform, curated by @takubeats and @bludshot, expresses a devotion to the most appealing sneakers out there supported by a very dedicated Instagram community. If you are ever in a need of some serious sneaker heat, Team Cozy is the place to be. I was very honored I got asked by Regan (Taku) to curate my own Cozy Top 5, as I’m a huge sneaker enthusiast. Even though you won’t see me strolling around in bold colored kicks or an all-over printed pair, I do appreciate a classic design with a modern feel to it. If you are following me on Instagram, it’s no surprise I’m a mayor white addict. But for this curation I wanted to be more diverse, and looked further than my white, white and, yes, white sneaker collection. A really hard decision, and I have to admit I felt some guilt towards …

Ungendered outfits with ‘Same Difference’ by Highsnobiety

I’m so moved by this ‘Same Difference’ editorial by Highsnobiety, in which they try to capture ungendered outfits and, are “highlighting both at once the versatility of fashion and a lack of disparity between silhouettes”, as they describe it. If I look at myself, I’ve always tried to look further than the ‘girl’ labeled clothing, and you can find me even more on menswear departments now. And I’m definitely not ashamed of admitting it. As I already explained in a previous interview with OUI BONJOUR, I feel like menswear clothing is more comfortable to me as they have a better fit and a clean look for most of the time. Browsing through menswear clothing also makes me feel unbound as I can decide for myself what I want to wear and how. Luckily the rise of unisex clothing is significant and already here for a while, but then again, it’s labeled as ‘unisex’ clothing. I’ve always been fantasizing in my head about how the world would look like if you had no gender specific clothing. …
